Tania Burton, Managing Director
Food really is in Tania Burton’s blood – her grandfather farmed Aberdeen Angus cattle, her aunt and cousin ran a catering firm and her father was a sheep farmer before opening wholesale supply and catering companies. Fully embracing this culinary heritage, Tania worked in local restaurants after school and just two months into her first job, when she was 18, the restaurant owners went on holiday and left the business in her hands for a week.
Tania soon realised she could turn her love of hospitality into a career, starting Ginger Snap when she was just 23 years old. Her career highlights include cooking for royalty, landing the contract for the VIPs at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and catering for the 275th anniversary of Muirfield Golf Club with over 2000 covers in four days. Tania thrives on the feeling of providing excellent catering at every Ginger Snap event, and aims for Ginger Snap to be the go-to caterer for events in the North of England and Scotland.

We had a great day and thank you for all the help and advice throughout the evening. ”
The cake was just incredible and we have had so many comments about the delicious canapes and the fabulous ‘mushrooms’. You all made the day such a memorable occasion for both us and our guests and we couldn’t have wanted more. ”
